Spartacus: Blood and Sand

Spartacus: Blood and Sand is an American TV series produced by Starz network and premiered on January 22, 2010 on Starz.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand tells the story of a Thracian warrior who, betrayed by a Roman Military leader called Glaber, will be thrown into a life of violence, despair, humiliation and glory, as a Gladiator.
After surviving a fight with four experienced Gladiators in the arena, the Thracian not only survives but will make the crowd give him the name of the greatest Gladiator who ever lived: Spartacus.

His obvious fighting abilities make the Thracian to be noticed and bought by a Gladiators owner called Batiatus. But something troubles Spartacus more than anything: the abduction of his wife by Glaber and her selling as a slave to a Syrian.
In his quest for reuniting with his wife, Spartacus will have to go through many battles and shed the blood of those that will try to stop him.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand TV series is rated TV-MA for the graphic sex scenes and the explicit violent scenes.
