Dexter is an American TV drama series originally broadcasted on the Showtime channel in October 1st, 2006.

Dexter TV show centers on Miami Metro Police Department blood splatter analyst Dexter Morgan played by Michael C. Hall. By day, Dexter does his forensic job the best he can trying to catch criminals, but at night he continues his quest by killing the ones that elude justice.

On the outside, Dexter seems a pretty nice, decent and normal guy. He has a sister, Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) that looks up to him, he’s in a steady relationship with Rita (Julie Benz) and also he’s very loved by Rita’s kids.

In order to be more effective at removing the criminals he’s after, Dexter follows a set of rules and teachings of his foster father Harry Morgan, a former police officer. Harry and his wife, Doris, adopted Dexter when he was three years old after the boy went through a terrifying episode which made his foster father aware of the boy’s sociopathic tendencies.
